The Government of Maharashtra has introduced Post-Matric Scholarship & Other Educational Facilities to SBC students 2017. To encourage the students of special backward classes to pursue higher education under the Government resolution, this scheme has been introduced. 100% scholarships will be provided by the State government for this scheme.

Eligibility for the scholarship:

• Family annual income should not be more than INR 1 Lac per annum.
• If a candidate is engaged in a full-time employment, he/she is not eligible for the scholarship.
• If a candidate is a repeater of the same class, he/she is also not eligible for the scholarship.
• Candidate should not receive any other scholarship.
• Two children of the same family are eligible to apply for the scheme(excluding girls).

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -
Step 1: Click here to register as a new user (Note: Candidate should have a mobile number registered with their Aadhaar card to ensure seamless and fast application process.)
Step 2: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric. 
Step 3: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
Step 4: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details. 
Step 5: Log in using username or password. 
Step 6: Complete the application process for the scholarship.   

Scholarships of INR 150 to INR 450 per month will be given to day-scholar students and INR 90 to INR 190 per month will be given to hostellers.
